| 1. Drawing pattern |

2. Cutting glass to pattern |

| 3. Inserting glass into correct position |

4. Cutting lead to fit around glass |

| 5. Securing lead and glass into place with horseshoe nails |
 |
6. Lead joints cleaned with a wire brush |
 |
| 7. Tallow candle is applied to all cleaned junction points |
 |
8. Soldering joints (tallow acts as flux) |
 |
| 9. Leaded cement applied to secure lead and glass together |
 |
10. Excess cement is removed by sprinkling glass with whitening powder |
 |
| 11. Entire surface cleaned with brushes and lead tools to remove cement and powder |
 |
12. Zebo grate blackening polish is applied to all lead came to give a traditional lead finish |
 |

| 13. Completed panel is polished to enhance the shine on the lead |
